As a kid, Tashan’s mother enrolled him in a dance studio and took him out of school from time to time to take him into New York for auditions. He was a part of a group called Estelle and Alphonse’s Dance Studio, performing before live audiences.
Tashan sang in his local church choir when he was 7 years old where his mother was the musical director. At the age of 13, she gave up the music group and started developing his musical skills.
