*About Dis Poem
Dis Poem Wordz & Agro Festival is the brainchild of the Poet RasTakura, the first three stagings were a collaborative effort with the Artist and the Students’ Council of the College of Agriculture, Science, and Education, (CASE) first two events were held on the campus. The aim of the event is to represent Poetry/Reggae Art form and Agricultural Products expo on a major stage show in Jamaica for both local and international patrons to have a taste of authentic Jamaica in a literary Agricultural Farm, However, the show is normally 95% SPOKEN WORD and another 5 % Acoustic Roots Reggae, It’s an all-day event by the Beach in Hope Bay Portland 10 am to 6 pm on the last Sunday of April each year. The 2013 staging was in honor of the Poet Mutabaruka…..looking forward to seeing you at the 4th staging on April 27, 2014.
